1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Intel Terrain's website, APIs, dashboard, or any related services (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
2. Description of Services
Intel Terrain provides access to structured datasets derived from publicly available government records across multiple verticals, including agricultural land, regulatory compliance, self-storage, contractor licensing, and business signals. Data is delivered via web dashboard and RESTful APIs.
3. Account Registration
- You must provide accurate, complete registration information
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
- One person or entity per account; account sharing is not permitted
- You are responsible for all activity under your account
4. Subscriptions & Billing
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
- Free trials last 7 days; you will not be charged during the trial
- Plan upgrades take effect immediately
- Plan downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle
- Annual subscriptions are eligible for a full refund within 7 days of purchase. After 7 days, all payments are non-refundable
5. API Usage & Rate Limits
API access is governed by your subscription plan. Each plan includes specific rate limits and monthly request quotas. Exceeding your quota will result in HTTP 429 responses until the next billing period.
- API keys are personal and must not be shared or published
- Automated scraping of the dashboard (as opposed to API use) is prohibited
- We reserve the right to throttle or suspend abusive API usage
6. Data Usage Rights
Your subscription grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the data for your internal business purposes. You may not:
- Resell, redistribute, or sublicense raw data to third parties
- Use data to build a competing product or dataset
- Misrepresent the source of the data
- Use data in a manner that violates applicable law
You may use data in internal analyses, reports, and models. Derived insights (not raw data) may be shared externally with attribution.
7. Data Accuracy Disclaimer
Intel Terrain sources data from publicly available government records and makes reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy. However, we do not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or timeliness of any data. Data is provided "as is" without warranty.
8. Intellectual Property
The Intel Terrain platform, including our scoring algorithms, data enrichment processes, user interface, and branding, is our intellectual property. The underlying public records are not owned by us, but our normalized, enriched, and scored versions of that data are proprietary.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Intel Terrain shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by canceling your subscription and contacting support. Upon termination, your right to access the Services ceases immediately.
11. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or prominent notice on the website. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance.
